Your Dedicated Legal Advocates

Divorce With Dignity

The end of a marriage is often fraught with pain, regret and anxiety. What will happen to my kids? What about retirement? Who gets the house? At Hanratty Law Group, we have more than a decade of experience in divorce and family law, so we will do our utmost to allay your concerns. We pursue out-of-court solutions when possible, but litigate when necessary. Our attorneys serve Summerlin and the greater Las Vegas region. We can help you determine:

Mediation

A common misconception is that in all divorce cases litigants will need to go to court. Quite frankly, this places an enormous stress on people. There are alternatives to litigation and court appearances that sometimes can achieve the same or better results, and often more quickly and at less cost to you.

Mediation allows both spouses to sit down with their attorneys and work out all the terms of their divorce without ever seeing a judge. This can prevent the emotional drain of a drawn-out court case and preserve a working relationship for parents in the future. We always strive to limit the amount of time and anxiety you may experience. While it has a high success rate, mediation is not a viable option for all couples, so please talk to us to see if mediation is right for your case.

Military Divorce

If one or both spouses are in the military we will explain to you how benefits and retirement are divided, how deployments affect child custody, and which relevant state and federal laws apply to your situation. Please contact us for more information.

We Will Not Rush You

It is important to keep in mind that you do not need to rush your divorce. Contrary to popular belief, it does not matter which spouse files for divorce first. While we will address your case with all appropriate haste, being careful and thoughtful about the process and your needs are more important than being fast. This includes cases involving violence, abuse or threats.

Divorce may be your biggest financial and emotional decision in decades. Take the time to get it right the first time. Fixing a decree of divorce after a final settlement may prove to be fruitless.
